Gateway to Tungnath and Chandrashila Trek. Local administration needs to maintain the place a bit. Also suggest to open a parking facility near by as the roadside parking is not the best option.

Unspoiled trek so please keep it the same. Gives a scenic view of Himalayan ranges like nanadadevi, chukhamba and trishul. Trek goes to tungnath, chandra shila and Ravan Shila through the beautiful green valley. It is the highest temple of lord Shiva and a difficulty level of moderate to tough so be prepared if going in off season. Earlier it was also a snow trek as well but now there can be a specific time for that as govt signs can be seen prohibiting tourist to visit when the temple is closed. So do check with your source when you are planning a snow trek else in summer time/ no snow(I went in early July) it's a lush green paradise. In snow (I did when 4 feet of snow) it's a beautiful blue valley with distant snow mountain all around. Avoid going in rain(July August) and peak winters (Dec Jan) as it might be closed.
